1. Warranty Coverage
All used engines and transmissions sold by Reman Auto Store LLC come with a standard warranty. Warranty terms vary depending on the product and coverage plan selected at the time of purchase:
- Standard Warranty: 6 months / unlimited mileage from the date of delivery
- Extended Warranty (1 Year): 12 months / unlimited mileage from the date of delivery
- Premium Warranty (Up to 5 Years): Up to 60 months coverage with additional terms and conditions
Warranty covers defects in the internal lubricated parts of the engine or transmission. External accessories, gaskets, seals, sensors, and other bolt-on components are not covered unless specifically stated.
2. Return Eligibility
You may return a product under the following conditions:
- Unused / Not Installed: If the part has not been installed, you may return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, minus shipping costs.
- Wrong Part Shipped: If we ship the wrong engine or transmission, we will arrange for a free return pickup and either ship the correct part or issue a full refund.
- Defective on Arrival: If the part is defective upon delivery (before installation), contact us within 48 hours of receiving the shipment for a replacement or full refund.
3. Warranty Claims (After Installation)
If your engine or transmission fails after installation during the warranty period, follow these steps:
- Contact Us Immediately: Call 1-888-235-7861 or email warranty@remanautostore.com within 24 hours of discovering the issue.
- Do Not Remove the Part: The engine or transmission must remain installed in the vehicle until our team authorizes removal.
- Diagnosis Required: A certified mechanic must diagnose the issue and provide a written report identifying the cause of failure.
- Authorization: Once we review and approve the warranty claim, we will provide instructions for returning the defective part and shipping a replacement.
4. What Is NOT Covered
The following situations are not covered by our warranty or return policy:
- Damage caused by improper installation (installation must be performed by a certified mechanic)
- Damage caused by overheating, lack of lubrication, or use of incorrect fluids
- Modifications, alterations, or performance tuning of the engine or transmission
- External and bolt-on components including sensors, wiring harnesses, gaskets, seals, mounts, and accessories
- Damage resulting from accidents, collisions, or floods
- Normal wear and tear
- Parts installed in a vehicle with a salvage, rebuilt, or flood title
- Commercial or racing use unless specifically covered in the warranty agreement
5. Refund Process
Once a return is approved and the product is received at our facility:
- Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days after the returned item is inspected.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong part shipped or defective product).
- A restocking fee of 15% may apply for returns that are not due to defects or shipping errors.
6. Shipping Damage
If your engine or transmission arrives with visible damage to the packaging or the product itself, you must note the damage on the delivery receipt and contact us within 24 hours with photographs of the damage. We will file a claim with the shipping carrier and arrange for a replacement or refund at no cost to you.
7. Core Return Policy
Some engines and transmissions require a core return. If a core return is required, it will be clearly stated at the time of purchase. The old/removed engine or transmission (the core) must be returned within 30 days of receiving your replacement part. If the core is not returned within the specified timeframe, a core charge will be applied to your order.
